Scarlet Skips Mods: Current List & How to Install

Scarlet Skips does not ship with mod support, and as of September 8, 2026 the Steam Workshop is not part of its store listing. A small community mod scene has appeared anyway: three gameplay mods on Nexus Mods, plus the UE4SS loader they require and a joke mod. Everything there is unofficial — Yerk Games has not commented on mods, and mod questions in the Steam forums sit unanswered.

What Steam officially supports

The Steam category list for App 4513480, read from the Steam store API on September 4, 2026, contains:

  • Single-player
  • Steam Achievements
  • Keyboard Only Option
  • Mouse Only Option
  • Partial Controller Support
  • Family Sharing

Steam Workshop is not among those categories. The store description covers the one-button input scheme, the ten upgrade cards, and the animation system, and it does not mention modding, custom content, or an editor. In the launch-window community discussions, three separate threads asked about mods or a Workshop: "Will it have mod support" (13 replies), "Will there be a workshop?" (1 reply), and "Is gonna be easy to install mods?" (0 replies). None has a reply flagged as coming from the developer. Officially, then, Scarlet Skips modding is neither supported nor acknowledged.

The community scene already exists on Nexus Mods

That silence has not stopped players. A Scarlet Skips hub exists on Nexus Mods, and a capture from September 7-8, 2026 shows the loader, three gameplay mods, and one joke mod. The loader page names the gameplay trio as "Luck Be A Lady," "This Rope Is Lit," and "Scarlet's Rope Hits The Gym," which by their descriptions correspond to the luck, fire, and rope-reinforce mods below.

Download counts at capture time were small: the loader had 111, the luck mod 101, the F5 mod 68, the fire mod 31, and the joke mod 9. The hub also showed a brand-new entry dated September 8, 2026 with no file size recorded; what it does is unconfirmed. Treat every number here as a snapshot.

The loader you need: UE4SS

Every gameplay mod on the hub depends on the same piece of infrastructure. Its Nexus page describes it plainly: not a gameplay mod, but the UE4SS scripting framework that "Luck Be A Lady," "This Rope Is Lit," and "Scarlet's Rope Hits The Gym" need to actually run.

The page's install instruction reads: "Install this first: extract into your game's install folder so ue4ss sits" — the sentence trails off in the capture, but the operative direction is complete: the loader goes inside the game's install folder, the same place the game's own files live. The loader is 8.3 MB and was posted September 7, 2026.

How to install these mods

The order is stated on the mod pages themselves and it is not optional:

  1. Install the UE4SS loader first. Extract it into the game's install folder as described above.
  2. Then add gameplay mods. The luck mod's page, for example, states that it requires the UE4SS Loader mod; the other gameplay mods list the same dependency.

A few practical notes follow from the mod descriptions themselves. The automatic mods cannot be toggled off in-game — the luck mod's description says the only way to stop it is to disable the mod. These files are unofficial, the developer offers no support channel, and any download comes from a third-party community host rather than Yerk Games: install at your own risk.

What the community mods do

The three gameplay mods automate things the in-game upgrade cards already do, using the same triggers the cards use:

  • Luck Be A Lady quietly raises the Luck stat by +5 every 5 seconds, with no card required — load in and start skipping. It is fully automatic, has no keybind, and stays on until you disable the mod.
  • This Rope Is Lit checks the jump rope every 600 ms and sets it on fire through the same trigger the Ignite Jumprope upgrade card uses. No card pick needed, no keybind: the rope catches fire on its own and stays lit.
  • Scarlet's Rope Hits The Gym binds reinforcing to F5, letting you strengthen the current rope on demand through the same trigger as the Reinforce Jumprope card, instead of waiting for the card to show up in a level-up offer.

In other words, they remove the randomness of waiting for specific cards rather than adding brand-new effects. The joke mod is different in kind: an 11.3 MB Portuguese-language character mod for playing with Luan, with no gameplay effect described. Anything beyond those descriptions — how the mods interact with scoring, whether they are safe in the long run — is not documented in the pages captured for this guide, so treat it as unconfirmed.

The warning about mod download sites

Sites offering Scarlet Skips mod downloads, free copies, or an APK are not connected to Yerk Games — the game's one distribution channel is Steam. Unofficial files can be modified, unsafe, outdated, or unrelated to the game. The legitimate community host for the mods above is Nexus Mods; anything pairing a "Scarlet Skips mods" promise with free full-game downloads or APK files is riding the game's name without the developer's involvement.

Could Workshop support come later?

Nothing rules it out, and nothing points to it either. As of September 4, 2026 there was no roadmap, no Steam news post, and no developer reply on the subject — the mod threads in the community discussions simply sat unanswered. One practical tell exists: if Workshop support is ever added, it appears as a category on the Steam store page. That flag is the thing to watch, and it is the same flag checked when the store categories above were recorded.
